Visitation of Our Lady School

• Provides a Catholic education to the children of Visitation Parish

Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD)

• Provides religious instruction to Catholic children of Visitation Parish not currently enrolled in a Catholic school
• Classes held Tuesdays 6:45 p.m. - 7:50 p.m. at the school

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.)

• Provides a process for new conversion and entrance into or full acceptance of the Catholic Faith
• Classes held Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. from August to May in the church meeting room

Altar Society

• Maintains church linens, cleans and prepares the church for Easter and Christmas, hosts receptions for special functions as requested
• Dues per year

Ushers

• Greet and assist parishioners attending Mass or other liturgical functions

• Assists in serving at Mass and other Liturgical Events

Hospitality Ministry

• Greets parishioners at Mass, assist with parish social functions

St. Vincent de Paul Society

• Offers personal assistance to people facing economic, emotional, or spiritual crises
• Volunteer Mon. & Wed. in church, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon

Men's Club

• Serves through fellowship for the benefit of parishioners and develops spirituality of men

Gardening Committee

• Helps in maintaining the gardens year-round on the parish grounds

• Promotes the sanctity of human life from conception through natural death

Catholic Youth Organization (CYO)

• Provides area teenagers the opportunity to socialize in a safe, Catholic environment while helping others in community to grow deeper in faith

Lazarus Apostolate

• Leads the Rosary at wakes, assists families with funerals, follows up with family one month after their loss

Knights of Columbus Council #7226

• Exemplifies charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism in our church parish. Open to men 18 years and older
• Meetings held the fourth Thursday of the month in Padre Hall

Kaycee Auxiliary

• Assists the Knights of Columbus and promotes good fellowship through religious and social activities

Transportation Ministry

• Assists parishioners who are in need of transportation to doctor appointments, grocery shopping, and other small errands

Encountering God Through Literature

• Reads and discusses works of fiction with spiritual, religious, moral, or Biblical themes
• Cost: price of book each month
• Meetings held the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in leader's home

Co-Op Club

• Supports the school in various educational, religious, community building, and fund raising programs
• Meetings held the third Wednesday of each month, 7:00 p.m. in the Cafetorium

Cajun Festival Committee

• Supports the Co-Op Club, raise funds for the school and church, and promotes family fun within the community. Plans, organizes, and runs the Annual Cajun Festival held the last full weekend in April
